| Mikey screamed my name over and over As he rushed over the bar top, Knocking over drinks and glasses in the process. I don't think his voiced registered the first couple of times. It was just noise, and no noise was important at this point. Except maybe the crunching slaps of my knuckles Forcing the underside of your face skin into the front of your skull Making your brain bunch up to the front of the inside of your skull Like a scared animal. People backing off like cats scatter when they are disturbed in alleyways. I thought about your mother, I thought about you as a little boy The cute things you might have done, what you asked Santa for Christmas. I hit you as many times as I could. I wanted to destroy you. Your blood was all over me. All over the floor.
They put on the handcuffs, I feigned remorse, But the only thing I was sorry for was not seeing your swollen head the next day. You told me how you were just turning your life around, how things were getting better. We never heard from you again. I still hope your life was a little worse for ever crossing me.

| I can't figure out how to work this thing.
I had a dream that someone I know died. I went to their grave and the stone was taller than I was, so I had to get a ladder to put flowers on top. Plus, it was done in a style that they would never pick for themselves, as far as I know.
